3/14/17 TEXAS TOUR BLOG - PART 1
I'm in a parking lot, somewhere outside of Dallas, TX. The signs around me read "Cosmik Rehearsal", "Clown Hamburger, since 1959!", and a painted pair of boxing gloves, which sign is a little too far away to read.
We've been traveling for the better part of three days, leaving Boston, MA at 6 PM. We stopped for pit stops in Knoxville when the van had a new light demanding we change its oil, and Nashville, where we crashed our friends the Daltons once again. More Walker, more Moscow Mules, more hot chicken, and another round of goodbyes that happened much too quickly segued us into another brutal commute that led us to Keller, TX, some forty miles north of Dallas where we were welcomed into a friend's home for cocktails, homemade chicken soup with sriracha sauce, and good company.
Tuesday morning turned into our first round of showers, and now this parking lot. I am pooped from the constant travel, so I'm being an introverted artist type and hiding in the van. I can't wait to play some music. It feels strange to not touch your guitar for three days...
