4/20/17 SPRING TOUR 2017 - PART 2

Thursday, April 20th, 12:26 PM.  I'm riding shotgun typing on my new Bluetooth keyboard for my IPad (thanks Sally).  The Lonesome played a set at The Melody Inn in Indianapolis last night.  Our show in Cleveland unfortunately fell through, so it felt like a week between shows.  Good golly off days are the worst.  We can deal with the fatigue, the sleeping in parking lots, the starving off one meal a day - but if we don't get the chance to plug in and play loud, it just all seems so pointless.   

We got to the venue early, and everyone got the chance to jam for a solid hour or so.  I dialed in my Z to the perfect semi-overdrive.  I was able to ride the volume knob to really explore what the Jazzy could do.  I'm falling a little more in love with that guitar every day... 

The highlights of the evening was Lemon Sky (really great band rock and roll band out of Cincinnatti) feeding us off their supply of Cincinnati made, egg, sausage and potato burritos.  We made a fast and easy dinner out of kindness, and one dollar High Life drafts while we swapped road stories and advice.  The hippest part of all of this is meeting these people from all over, trying to do the same thing.  It's like meeting a pack of brothers you didn't know you had.
